WildPhotos seminar and the Wildlife photographer of the year award winners

Yesterday I attended the brilliant WildPhotos seminars at the Royal Geographical Society. There I had the privilege of hearing some of the world's best wildlife photographers and magazine editors speak. There were tales of how such beautiful images where achieved and about the unforgettable moments experienced. Andy Rouse gave great tips on how to capture the spirit in a portrait, Paul Hassell spoke about wildlife photography and social media and editors from GEO, National Geographic and BBC Wildlife Magazine gave tips on what makes a winning photograph. The day closed with some inspiring stories by the Veolia Environment Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2011 competition winners such as overall winner Daniel Beltra, overall young wildlife photographer Mateusz Piesiak, Gerald Durrell award winner Peter Chadwick, The Underwater World award winner Paul Souders and Animals in their Environment winner Benjam Pontinen. The day was a wonderful experience which continually inspired me and left me in awe and admiration for these incredible photographers. Below I have posted the winning photographs.
