Farm Fashion

I'm a country girl and this year I helped show my family sheep at the Vale show in Wales near where my parents live. I love heading home and what I noticed the most was the naturally chic farm/countryside fashion that so many big fashion labels and high street retailers have got influence from and have strived to recreate for this season. Most of the people here aren't even trying to be fashionable at all its just part of who they are and the lives they lead.

Even the sheep are fashionable!

The cows were treated to a nice blow dry

There were some rather attractive farm boys there showing their very pretty cows. I really liked their style. They wore smart white shirts and trousers with brown belts, a tie and causal, hardy brown lace up boots.

I loved this guys hat and co-ordinated shirt and jumper

The patterned cardigan, brown tie and corduroy trousers with matching hat looked pretty great together

Cider with Rosie by Laurie Lee and my good old red Hunter wellies
I love this book, I'm reading it at the moment and its bringing back childhood memories. The descriptions are beautiful. My family said the cover illustration reminds them of me.

This is real country chic

These waterproof hats with feathers are everywhere right now but have been part of country fashion for decades

Thought this duck looked pretty fashionable

I really love big jumpers and this red one is just the kind i go for. Check out those cabbages!

Really like this. New use for my Hunters?
